How would I make a crystal face design for catwalk use without sticking individual crystals to the face?

I need to make a crystal or face design - was going to do an orchid shape around the eye although don't want to stick individual crystals as it will be too time consuming. If I cut out a template using double sticky paper will this stick to the skin, or does anyone have any ideas?

1. Glitter, maybe? or find an alternate route. The template idea is great. Try removable adhesive-sided ones. It should stick to the skin. Besides, if the crystals are not a huge part of the theme, then you won't have to worry about it flying off while she walks, which if the runway is a long one, approximately 5-6 minutes.
