Does laser engraving an Apple laptop void the warranty?

There is a laser engraving kiosk at a mall near me and they say that they can laser engrave my MacBook Pro. It looks pretty cool, and I was wondering if this would void my AppleCare.

1. The warranty applies to materials and workmanship, so lasering the surface of the container should make NO difference. As long as you do not open the container and fool around with the guts, you should be good to go. The laser DOES cause intense heat, which is why it works as it does, so that may have an effect on the guts AND void the warranty, so be careful...
2. Ask Apple or the shop you got it from.
