Does anyone know who could remove laser engraving from Silver?
I have a cake knife and server set from my engagement that was called off and I would like to remove the engraving so I can still use them in the future. They are too pretty to throw away! Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

- Off hand I would say it is going to be too expensive to get the engraving sanded off. Don't know if it would look right once removed.
- Put them on Ebay and buy new ones without any engraving.
- This is not the best way, but it will work.Get some rubbing compound from the automotive section of a Wally World or Auto Zone. Get you a Pink Pearl pencil eraser dip the end of the eraser in the rubbing compound and go to work. If you have a Dremel buy a hard felt attachment. It will look like a tiny mushroom. Touch it in the rubbing compound. If you don't want to spend the money on the rubbing compound (you will have a bunch left) and if you don' do your own car detail work no use for the remainder. Make a thick paste out of baking soda and try that with the Pink Pearl pencil eraser.
- Have you called a jewelry store? I'm sure they remove engravings from silver all the time. Probably just heat it up (like when they resize something) and smooth it out.
