Do I need to pay taxes on the gifts that I am sending to China?
I am sending a lot of gifts(crystals and watches) to my family and friends in china. Do i need to pay taxes?

- No. You already paid taxes when you earned the income to pay for those gifts. You may have to pay some kind of duty or fee, but it wouldn't be much. Just talk to the fed-ex or whoever you're shipping with people. They'll have all of the information on shipping to various countries.
- Any duties or taxes will be paid by the recipients in China. There are no export duties or taxes in the US. There is no way for you to pre-pay them, though you could reimburse the recipients once they have paid the duties and taxes on their end.
